Latapult App Used to Identify Drainage Problems at Waccamaw Neck

At a public forum in Georgetown County, residents were encouraged to identify the locations of drainage problems using the Latapult (formerly geothinQ) GIS application. While several members of the public left the forum early out of frustration with the county for having not already fixed the issues, those that remained learned the value of the application.

While people don’t have to use the app to ensure that an existing project stays on the list, that data about ongoing problems will help.

As of this week, a couple of dozen problems had been pinpointed on the app. The largest number were in the Hagley area.
